Three of five police generals whom President Rodrigo Duterte linked to drugs have turned themselves in to Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa to clear their names.
Police Director Joel Pagdilao, Chief Supt. Edgardo Tinio and Chief Supt. Bernardo Diaz, all upperclassmen of Dela Rosa at the Philippine Military Academy, went to the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame on Wednesday morning to meet with Dela Rosa, his spokesperson confirmed.

Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos said representatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and National Police Commission (Napolcom) are also present in the meeting. As of posting, the meeting is still ongoing.
On Tuesday, Duterte bared the names of police generals, both active and retired, allegedly protecting drug lords and ordered them relieved from their posts.

Apart from Pagdilao, Tinio and Diaz, Duterte also named retired generals Marcelo Garbo and Vicente Loot, now the mayor of Daanbantayan, Cebu.
Four of the give generals have denied their involvement in drugs. Garbo has yet to issue a statement. IDL
