Baguio police kill 2 drug suspects; gunmen kill 1
BAGUIO CITY– Police shot dead two men in a Friday dawn gunfight following a buy-bust operation near the city market.
Nash Palomique and an unidentified man fought policemen at 1:45 a.m. along Labsan Street.
Palomique is reportedly on city’s drug watch list.
On Thursday, businessman Joel de dios Nider was shot dead near a stall at the city’s slaughterhouse compound on Magsaysay Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Witnesses said they heard a gunshot and saw two men fleeing the area.
Earlier, at 11 a.m., Marvin Llamido Lazate, a jeepney barker, was shot in the chest by a lone gunman at a public utility vehicle staging area on Magsaysay Avenue.
Lazate was taken by his wife and another barker to the Pines City Doctors’ Hospital for treatment.
Both men were reportedly on the police drug watch list. CDG/rga
