‘Right-hand man of drug trader’ Espinosa killed in buy-bust

CEBU CITY — The alleged right hand man of drug trafficking suspect Kerwin Espinosa was shot dead in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) past 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Julito Prak was brought to the government-owned Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City but was declared dead on arrival by physicians, said PDEA official Yogi Ruiz.

Prak suffered multiple gunshot wounds in what the operatives claimed was a shootout in Sitio Senior San Roque, Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City.

Ruiz said Prak was tasked to transport illegal drugs from Cebu to Leyte, the base of Kerwin, son of arrested Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. and dubbed as the biggest drug lord in Eastern Visayas.
