Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has authorized executive judges of trial courts in areas affected by monsoon rain to suspend work within their respective jurisdictions.
The High Court鈥檚 information chief clarified聽that no work suspension is being ordered for聽the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Sandiganbayan and the Court of Tax Appeals.
The High Tribunal issued the advisory following rainfall warnings issued by the聽Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa聽at聽4 a.m. issued a yellow rainfall warning over Zambales and Bataan as 鈥渇looding in low-lying areas may still prevail.鈥�
Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Bulacan were also advised to prepare for light to moderate rain./rga
