There is nothing serious about the health of President Rodrigo Duterte a day after he skipped a town hall session in Davao City on Friday due to migraine, a Palace official assured the public.

鈥淗e is fine,鈥 Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a text message on Saturday when asked about the President鈥檚 health condition.

Abella said Duterte only experienced migraine.

In a separate text message, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said 鈥渢he long hours and endless trip must be taking its toll on the President.鈥

鈥淟ike any human being, the President needs to take a rest,鈥 Andanar said.

During the regional convention of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in Manila, the President told a group of lawyers that he has 鈥渕edical issues.鈥

But Andanar reacted to Duterte鈥檚 statement, saying the President was 鈥渇it and healthy鈥 to perform his job as the country鈥檚 chief executive.
