Chinese gaming tycoon Jack Lam has left the Philippines ahead of President Rodrigo Duterte鈥檚 order for his arrest.
Immigration spokesperson Atty. Maria Antonette Mangrobang said that based on their records, 聽Lam Yin Lok, Lam鈥檚 real name, 聽flew out of the country last Nov. 29.
鈥淣o record of arrival since,鈥� Mangrobang said.
Last Saturday, Duterte ordered his arrest for economic sabotage.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said economic sabotage is a continuing offense thus 聽the accused can be the subject of a warrantless arrest.
He added that Lam, owner of Fontana Resort, also violated Immigration Laws for coddling illegal aliens.
