The police identified the victim as Anselmo Villanueva, 22, a resident of Barangay 115, Zone 14. He was reportedly in the police’s drug watch list.

Case investigator SPO1 Melvin Garcia said Villanueva was with his friends on Gamban Extension around 4 a.m. when four motorcycle-riding men wearing bonnets or motorcycle helmets approached them.

The group scattered in different directions but Villanueva was cornered at Perez Compound where he was killed. Police probers retrieved seven casings believed to be from a .45 cal. pistol.
