Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo vehementely denied on Wednesday that she was the Cabinet member being referred to in a blind item, who had allegedly requested free tickets and designers shoes from officials of a mall in Metro Manila.
The blind item that appeared in the Philippine Daily Inquirer鈥檚 section, entitled: 鈥淏iz buzz Freebie-minded Cabinet official鈥� was raised by Teacher Partylist Representative Julieta Cortuna during Teo鈥檚 confirmation hearing by the Commission on Appointment鈥檚 committee on tourism and economic development.
鈥淗onestly, I can face you all, I鈥檓 not aware of it,鈥� she said.
鈥淚鈥檇 like to inform the body that it鈥檚 not me,鈥� Teo said, responding to Cortuna鈥檚 query.

In fact, Teo said, she was not aware of the blind item until her brother, Mon, asked her about it.
鈥淚s it really me? How come they are all pointing at me,鈥� Teo said.
And when somebody asked her again about it when she was in Davao, she said she wondered why everyone was pointing at her.
