Two unidentified men were shot dead by police near Palanca Street in Manila聽on Wednesday聽night.

Reports said the police, on their way back to the police station from conducting anti-drug campaign visits in the neighborhood, encountered three suspicious looking men along a narrow street near Quiapo.

The police shot at them after one of the men reached for his gun.

Two were killed on the spot while the third one escaped.

A caliber .38 revolver was recovered from the scene.
