A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the province of Zambales聽on Tuesday afternoon, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake, which was tectonic in origin, 聽struck 18 kilometers southeast of Masinloc at聽12:07 p.m.
It originated at a shallow depth of 17 kilometers.
No damages and aftershocks were expected, Phivolcs said.
No intensities in other areas were reported.
