Close to 300 aftershocks recorded after Leyte quake鈥擯hivolcs

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has recorded close to 300 aftershocks following the 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Leyte on Thursday afternoon.
As of 8:02 a.m. Friday, the Phivolcs has recorded 265 aftershocks, Phivolcs science research analyst Julius Galdiano told 黑料社.
Of these, 42 were plotted, or have been located in at least three reference stations.
A 4.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 5:16 a.m. 2 kilometers northeast of Ormoc, Leyte It is one of the strongest aftershocks so far.
Galdiano said aftershocks may continue for a few days.
