Pagasa: Cloudy Monday
Parts of the country will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to a trough of a low pressure area (LPA), the state weather bureau said on Monday.
The LPA was tracked 930 kilometers east of Alabat, Quezon as of 3a.m., according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Weather forecaster Samuel Duran noted, however, that the LPA has a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.
Coastal waters will be slight to moderate, except for Northern Luzon, which will be moderate to occasionally rough, it added. /kga
