鈥淲e regret the Commission on Appointments鈥� non-confirmation of Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial,鈥� Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a statement.
The Commission on Appointments (CA) disapproved on Tuesday聽Ubial鈥檚 appointment, the fifth Cabinet member to be rejected under the Duterte administration.
Ubial was not present at the plenary during the announcement.
鈥淲e are deeply grateful for Sec. Ubial鈥檚 service to the Health Department and for epitomizing the President鈥檚 malasakit through her 鈥楢ll for Health,聽towards Health for All鈥� Philippine Health Agenda,鈥� Abella said. 鈥淲e wish Secretary Ubial well in all her future endeavors.鈥�
Aside from Ubial, the ad interim appointment聽of Perfecto Yasay Jr., Regina 鈥淕ina鈥� Lopez, Judy Taguiwalo, Rafael 鈥淧aeng鈥� Mariano were earlier rejected. /jpv
