CLARK FREEPORT—This former US air base-turned-economic hub is now secured by 9,377 policemen two days before the opening of the four-day 11th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Defense Ministers Meeting (ADMM) starting Oct. 22.

The policemen gathered at the Challenger’s Field inside Philippine Air Force City here on Friday for personnel accounting.

They also trained in close protection, hostage negotiation, radio operation and procedures, pistol proficiency and civil disturbance management to ensure their readiness for the meeting, said Chief Supt. Amador Corpus, Central Luzon police director.
