A municipal councilor in Jolo, Sulu who was abducted by the Abu Sayyaf last September has been freed, the military said聽Thursday.
Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Joint Task Force Sulu, said Zed Tan was released around聽9:29 p.m.聽on Wednesday聽in Brgy. Buru, Talipao town.
鈥淗e underwent medical examination at Camp Bautista Station Hospital in Jolo,鈥� he added.
The official was in good physical condition except for some mosquito bites on his arms. He underwent a debriefing procedure before he was brought to his family.
