Man ordered to send 144 compliments to ex-girlfriend
One woman will be showered with 144 compliments, thanks to a court order after she received “nasty” comments from her ex-boyfriend in Hawaii.
The Maui reports that 30-year-old Darren Young will counter the previous comments he made with complimentary ones.
Second Circuit Judge Rhonda Loo even ordered that every compliment should have no repeating words.
This comes after Young pleaded no contest to 16 counts of violating a protection order sought by his former flame, which was granted on Feb. 22 this year. The couple broke up nine months ago.
He violated the order by contacting her 144 times in the span of three hours on May 22. Young was later arrested and sent to jail for 157 days.

Deputy Public Defender Zach Raidmae said that the days Young spent in jail were “a long time to think about what tasteless things were said and the importance of abiding by protective orders.”
After what he experienced, Young promised never to do it again and claimed he was ready to move on with his life. He said he would also help his mom who suffered from a stroke.
Aside from the compliments, Young was also ordered to render 200 hours of community service and was fined $2,400 (P123,000). Katrina Hallare/NVG
