Election law expert Atty. Romulo Macalintal, counsel for Vice President Leni Robredo, maintained that the Vice President won over former Senator Ferdinand 鈥淏ongbong鈥� Marcos fair and square.
鈥淲alang pandaraya nakita na ginawa ng makina [Smartmatic] since 2010,鈥� Macalintal said on Tuesday at Kapihan sa Manila Bay.
[There was no evidence of cheating from the machine since 2010.]
Macalintal insisted that despite of the request of Marcos鈥� camp to do a recount for Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental, the results would be the same.
鈥淜ahit bilangin mo pa ang mga balotang 鈥榶an, the same results would be generated sapagkat 鈥榶an ang nangyare,鈥� he said.
[Even if you do a ballot recount, the same results would be generated because that鈥檚 what happened]
Marcos accused Robredo of cheating after winning the vice presidential seat with a gap of more than 200,000 votes. /je
