The southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo Street will be closed to motorists on听Dec. 17听for a Christmas-themed float parade, the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) announced听Friday.
In a traffic advisory听released on Friday, the MDTEU said the stretch will be closed at听3:00 p.m.听onwards to make way for the听float parade of the first-ever event dubbed as 鈥淐hristmas by Manila Bay.鈥
The activity would feature corporate and government-sponsored floats depicting the Pinoy鈥檚 Yuletide spirit.
Re-routing of vehicles
Vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive toward the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard must turn left to P. Burgos听Avenue.
Vehicles traveling on the westbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue must turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to听the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue.
Those traveling westbound lane of United Nations Avenue toward Roxas Boulevard shall turn left to M.H. Del听Pilar Street, or take Roxas Boulevard鈥檚 service road.
For vehicles coming from three Manila bridges鈥擩ones, McArthur, Quezon鈥攖oward the closed stretch of the boulevard,听they would have to go straight to Taft Avenue.
All vehicles traveling westbound lane of T.M. Kalaw Street toward Roxas Boulevard shall turn left to M.H. Del听Pilar Street.
Vehicles going to and from Manila Ocean Park, H20 Hotel or Manila Hotel shall use Katigbak Drive as access听road.
Vehicles traveling westbound lane of President Quirino Avenue going to the closed stretch of road must turn left听to Adriatico Street.
All vehicles traveling westbound lane of P. Ocampo Street toward the southbound lane must turn left to F.B.听Harrison. /jpv
