Authorities have so far found “no indications” that 17-year-old Patricia “Ica” Policarpio, who went missing in Muntinlupa last Thursday, had been kidnapped.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Oscar Albayalde said in a press conference on Sunday that, “There are no indications yet, but we haven’t ruled out anything yet dahil hindi pa tapos ang investigation.

Albayalde responded to a query on whether police is ruling out the possibility of abduction in Policarpio’s disappearance.

He also revealed that no ransom was demanded from Policarpio’s family for this to be considered as a case of kidnapping.

Albayalde, however, said police are looking into the possibility that someone influenced Ica to run away from home given that she was a minor.

“Ang tinitignan natin dito ay kung may nag-udyok dito sa bata na maglayas o magpunta dito,” he said.

Albayalde then asked the public to let Policarpio rest and share to her family what really happened.
