Former whistleblower, now Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) director Sandra Cam, said she, her security aide and her staff member have been receiving threats.
Cam went to the Mandaluyong City Police Station聽on Thursday聽to report two incidents of alleged threats. She was accompanied by her security aide Police Officer 3 Mansul Igasan, who is assigned to the Police Security Protection Group (PSPG), and confidential agent Romilda Amago.
In a blotter report, Amago, 61, told Mandaluyong police duty officer SPO3 Joel Macasieb that she was in front of the board of secretary鈥檚 office just outside the office of Chairman Jose Jorge Corpuz on the fourth floor of the PCSO building when an unidentified man came looking for the office of Cam past聽noon聽last December 29.
The man, Amago said, was wearing a black jacket, and 鈥渨as always with General Manager Alexander Balutan.鈥�
Amago claimed the unidentified man said he would 鈥渂low the office of Cam鈥� and repeated it twice at the hallway. Amago was apparently referring to Florante Solmerin, deputy spokesman of Balutan.
鈥淚t appears that the reportee was talking about me,鈥� said Solmerin, who saw his photo being pointed out by Amago in a radio report.
鈥淚t doesn鈥檛 make sense. Kung pasasabugin ko ang office ni Cam, the office of Chair Corpuz and the whole PCSO will explode,鈥� Solmerin said. 鈥淚 was really shocked. That鈥檚 not true. Please stop putting words into my mouth. I hope Cam will not make up things that will stir up another controversy at the PCSO,鈥� he added.
Igasan, 38, reported another threat saying PCSO security guard Pito Aggapao, allegedly held them and told 聽them to deposit their firearms.
The incident, the report said, happened at the lobby of PCSO鈥檚 fourth floor around聽2:30 p.m.聽last December 27.
Igasan said when he, Cam and two other security police officers arrived at the office, Aggapao held them and directed them to deposit their firearms.
Igasan refused saying Cam, their protectee, was 鈥渙n high threat.鈥�
Igasan said they asked for a memorandum regarding the order but the guard failed to show any memo so they ignored the order.
Cam said she was set to describe in detail the threats in a press conference in a Manila restaurant this聽2 p.m.
Cam and officials of the PCSO were having a feud since Cam exposed PCSO鈥檚 鈥榚xtravavagant鈥� Christmas Party worth more than P6 million and alleged that 70 of the 84 small town lottery outlets were being operated by gambling lords.
