National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Oscar Albayalde gave the Parañaque City police two days to solve an incident at an eatery which he described as “not an ordinary robbery.”

At a press briefing on Friday in Camp Crame, Albayalde said, “You cannot say that only a small amount was taken from the eatery. What we saw here are four armed men.”

He was referring to an early Thursday robbery at a “gotohan” in Parañaque City which was captured on closed-circuit TV footage. Four armed men wearing motorcycle helmets barged into the gotohan at around 2 a.m. and robbed its customers before taking the eatery’s earnings.

The robbers hurt one of the victims before fleeing with the P15,000 loot,  P6,000 of which were the gotohan’s earnings. “This is no ordinary (robbery) group because all of them were armed and they almost hurt a minor,” he said.—JEANNETTE I. ANDRADE
