No special treatment would be given to former Customs commissioner Nicanor聽Faeldon while he is detained at the Pasay City Jail, the Bureau of Jail聽Management and Penology (BJMP) said.
BJMP spokesman Senior Insp. Xavier Solda told reporters in a chance聽interview on Tuesday that Faeldon would be staying in a regular jail cell just like聽all other detainees.
鈥淔or the moment doon muna siya (Faeldon) mag-stay. Wala siyang (sariling)聽higaan. (May) matigas na higaan. Medyo masikip ang area namin sa taas.聽Meron kaming maliit na espasyo,鈥 Solda said.
(For the moment, Faeldon will stay there. He won鈥檛 have his own bed. It鈥檚 a hard bed. Our area is a bit tight. We have a small space.)
鈥淲e would like to reiterate then na wala pong (no) special treatment na pwedeng聽ibigay ang (from) BJMP,鈥 he added.
Faeldon was escorted by the Senate Sergeant at Arms to the Pasay City Jail on聽Tuesday morning after the Senate ordered his transfer from its detention area.

Senator Richard Gordon, chair of the Senate blue ribbon committee, said the聽transfer order was signed by Senate President Aquilino 鈥淜oko鈥 Pimentel.
The transfer was made after Faeldon traded barbs with Gordon over, among聽other matters, parties that Faeldon supposedly held in his Senate detention cell.
鈥(Faeldon) will now be remanded to the custody of the Pasay City jail upon聽order of commitment by the Senate president, and it was agreed upon聽unanimously,鈥 Gordon earlier said. /je
