Standing by her position against 听 divorce, Senator听 Nancy Binay听 has instead advised听 everyone听 against听 rushing into marriage.
鈥淗uwag magmadaling magpakasal kasi mahirap makipaghiwalay,鈥澨� Binay said听 in an interview at her听 office听听on Thursday.
The senator made the remark when asked听to comment on the proposed dissolution of marriage in the country which is moving forward in the House of Representatives as it starts its deliberations on it 听 in the听plenary.

听But听Binay听remained firm听that there was no need听to have such听a measure as听there are already existing legal remedies available for 鈥渦nhappy鈥� couples such as 听 annulment听and legal听separation.
When told how difficult it is to seek an annulment in the country, the听senator said:听 鈥淓 di ibig sabihin听 nun wag kang magpapakasal 鈥︹��
House Bill No. 6027 or听鈥淎n Act Providing for Grounds for the Dissolution of a Marriage鈥� filed by听 Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez听 allows 听 鈥渋rreconcilable differences鈥� or 鈥渟evere and chronic unhappiness鈥� as grounds for marriage dissolution.
