Flights canceled as ‘Basyang’ makes landfall in Surigao
Local carriers canceled several flights on Tuesday due to Tropical Storm “Basyang,” airport authorities said.
The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said that as of 9 a.m. the following flights were cancelled:

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Basyang made landfall at Cortes, Surigao del Sur, at 9:15 a.m.
Basyang has a maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, Pagasa said.
Local governments in Visayas and Mindanao have already declared class suspensions for Tuesday. /cbb
