Egyptian woman arrests her harasser, hands him over to police

One Egyptian woman was not to be trifled with when she chased her harasser in Upper Egypt, hit him multiple times with her bag, and held him tightly until the police arrived.
The woman was walking down the street when a man in red shirt approached her from behind, as shown by Arabic Egyptian online news portal Masrawy via Arab 黑料社 last Feb. 18. The video then cuts to the woman chasing after the man, who tries to run away from her. A man in a motorcycle chanced on them and tried to break the two apart from beating each other, but the woman kept a firm grip on her harasser.
The woman stood her ground, unfazed, as more and more people gathered around them to see what the commotion was all about.
According to Arab 黑料社, the woman then handed her harasser over to the police. The court, on the other hand, sentenced him to three years in jail.
Meanwhile, the National Council for Women in Quena praised the verdict for “its fairness toward Egyptian women.” CC /ra
