A priest of the Archdiocese of Manila who specializes in exorcism has taken to social media to remind Catholics to stick only to Christian rites.
鈥淥ur disposition as Catholics must always be: 鈥楽olo Dios basta! God alone suffices!鈥� As long as God is with us, it is enough,鈥� said Fr. Winston Cabading.
The priest posted on his Facebook account a prayer entitled the 鈥淩enouncement of the Occult and All-Powers and Practices Derived From It.鈥�
Cabading noted that some building contractors routinely offered blood from an animal as a 鈥減eace offering鈥� to elementals or nature鈥檚 spirits.
The prayer for renouncing the occult, he said, should be recited while kneeling or prostrated, before the Blessed Sacrament, an icon of Jesus Christ or a crucifix. 鈥�Julie M. Aurelio
