Give blood, get free ride

Uber Philippines is giving away free rides or discounted rates to passengers donating blood, cash or goods to Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

Uber and PRC announced their partnership during Uber’s fourth anniversary in the Philippines on Feb. 23.

PRC said the initiative was part of Uber’s effort to give back to groups that had contributed to its operations in the Philippines.

Uber would also offer promo codes to help donors transport relief goods to the PRC national headquarters in Mandaluyong City and port area in Manila. —Jodee Agoncillo
