NO LP ALLIANCE
CEBU Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale said on Wednesday she wasn’t establishing any alliances with the Liberal Party (LP).
Magpale gave this clarification to quell talks of an LP alliance after she was seen attending the silver wedding anniversary of Tuburan Mayor Democrito Diamante at the Chateau de Busay last week.
Diamante is an LP member.
Magpale said she attended the event because Diamante was her relative.
She was one of the sponsors during the anniversary and was paired with LP member and former Cebu City councilor Hilario “Jun-Jun” Davide III.

P10M oil budget
THE Cebu City Council approved on Wednesday the purchase of P10 million worth of oil and lubricants for City Hall vehicles.
The purchase was approved based on the request of Government Service Office (GSO) head Rolando Ardosa who said that the city had already run out of these supplies.
Councilor Margot Osmena said in her approved resolution that the purchase should be charged to a P30 million GSO appropriation approved as part of Supplemental Budget 2.
Of the P30 million, P10 million was for engine oil and lubricants while the remaining is for additional gasoline purchase.
The city appropriated about P120 million this year for its gasoline needs, which is P9 million more than its 2010 appropriation of P111 million.
The city is providing fuel to its fleet of about 852 vehicles, 197 of which are deployed to the barangays and other offices like the Cebu City police Office (CCPO). /Correspondent Edison A. delos Angeles
