Duterte thinks anti-political dynasty bill is anti-democratic – Roque

BACOLOD CITY — President Rodrigo Duterte does not believe in the anti-political dynasty bill because it is anti-democratic, according to presidential Spokesman Harry Roque.

“The President has said that the voice of the people is the voice of God. So if they want to send a relative of an incumbent official to public office so be it. That’s the presidential position,” said Roque, who was in Victorias City for the Kadalagan Festival.

He said it should be the people who must decide whom to vote into office.
