Zambo Sur trike driver nabbed for alleged drug pushing

PAGADIAN CITY – Police authorities in Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur on Monday said they have arrested a tricycle driver for alleged drug pushing during an operation on Sunday.

Margosatubig police chief Senior Inspector Ricardo Lubaton said Ho Jaypee Palisbo Nasser, 24, was under police surveillance following information for drug peddling.

On Sunday, police conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion with the use of a poseur-buyer.

As soon as Nasser handed to the poseur-buyer a plastic sachet containing what appears to be shabu, policemen made the arrest.

Seized from Nasser was a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu and the P500 marked bills.

Nasser is now being held at the Margosatubig Police headquarters as a complaint for drug peddling is being readied against him. /muf
