Take the Lenten Season as an opportunity to be truly remorseful of the sins and omissions committed and learn to forgive, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said聽Thursday.
Aguirre said we should 鈥渃elebrate our deliverance from sin by the ultimate sacrifice on the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ鈥� by taking 鈥渢his golden opportunity to be truly remorseful for all the sins of commission and omission we have committed.鈥�
鈥淎nd as we seek the atonement of our transgressions, may we likewise find the grace to forgive those who sinned against us,鈥� Aguirre said.
The DOJ chief said we should remove anger and hatred in our lives.
鈥淟et us likewise be very thankful for the many mercies, the countless blessings and the bountiful graces we have been showered however unworthy we may be,鈥� Aguirre said.
