Robredo’s trust rating falls 13 points — SWS

Vice President Leni Robredo’s net trust rating went down by 13 points based on a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Wednesday.

SWS said that Robredo’s net trust rating went down from +52 in December 2017 to +39 in March 2018, pushing down the ratings classification from “very good” to “good.”

The results showed that the Vice President’s ratings fell in all geographical areas, as the SWS noted that the slump was due to significant decreases in Balance Luzon and Mindanao, down by 15 and 18 points respectively.

Her ratings dipped by four points in Metro Manila and eight points in Visayas.

Among the respondents, 58 percent trusted the country’s second-highest official, 23 percent were undecided, while 18 percent had little trust.  Her ratings also fell among all classifications according to educational attainment, down 4 points among elementary graduates, 20 points within non-elementary graduates, 16 points in high school graduates and 14 points among college graduates.

SWS reminded the public that trust ratings are different from satisfaction ratings. According to its report, trust ratings are based on public trust on a personality, while satisfaction ratings are based on “individual performance based on position or duty.”

SWS interviewed 1,200 respondents for the survey, with 300 individuals for each of Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.  It had sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages, and ±6% for each locales. /cbb
