Fair weather to welcome Duterte in PH Rise – Pagasa
CASIGURAN, Aurora – Fair weather with partly cloudy skies and light rains will greet President Rodrigo Duterte on his visit to the Philippine Rise this Tuesday afternoon.
Gener Quitlong, weather forecaster of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said light to moderate seas is expected over the eastern section of the Philippines, including the Philippine Rise.
“We have no gale warning,” Quitlong told in a phone interview.

He said the sea condition was safe for travel and no low pressure area was monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Mr. Duterte, on board the BRP Davao del Sur (LD-602), is expected to arrive at the Philippine Rise on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the first anniversary of the renaming of the resource-rich continental shelf.
