Cops nab 2 suspected drug pushers in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested two alleged drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Tiaong town in Quezon province early Sunday.

Police report said anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Philip Sarmiento, 36, and his associate, Timmy Andrea Rapsing, 23, after the two allegedly sold crystal meth or shabu to a policeman acting as drug user in Barangay (village) Lusacan around 2 a.m.

Authorities seized three small plastic sachets of shabu weighing a total of less than a gram from the suspects.

Both suspects are classified as street level drug pushers.

Rehabilitated former drug users tipped off the police on the illegal activities of the suspects, now detained at the local police jail. /je
