Agrarian Reform Secretary John Rualo Castriciones was finally confirmed on Tuesday by a panel of the powerful Commission on Appointments.

Senator Grace Poe, who presided over the CA鈥檚 committee on agrarian reform, said the decision was reached in an executive session.

Poe said聽a secret voting was made and 13 members of the panel voted to approve Castriciones鈥� nomination and only two objected it.

鈥淣a-confirmed na sya聽 kasi 13 yung bomoto sa kanya, 2 ang nag-object,鈥澛� she told reporters.

Poe said she would report the panel鈥檚 recommendation to聽 the CA plenary聽 on Wednesday.

When she endorses the recommendation on the floor,聽 the senator said聽 she would remind聽Castriciones聽to address the聽 concerns raised by oppositors during his confirmation hearing.
