Richard A. Reyes was a photojournalist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer known for his powerful images and dedication to covering major national events. Since joining the paper in 2010, he documented key moments such as the Duterte drug war, the COVID-19 pandemic, and tensions in the West Philippine Sea. His photo 鈥淩elief,鈥� showing former Senator Leila de Lima waving to supporters, won gold at the 2023 WAN-IFRA Asian Media Awards. Reyes, remembered for his talent and kindness, died of a heart attack at 34.
