Two men were arrested for making fake identification cards in a downtown shop in Cebu City.<\/p>\n
Police arrested Joseph Salas, 25, and Jemart Avila, 18, in their rented store on Legaspi and Colon streets.<\/p>\n
The men were arrested yesterday after making and selling a fake driver\u2019s license to a policeman who posed as a buyer.<\/p>\n
The shop displayed cellphone units in front for sale but actually made fake ID cards from various government agencies, schools and private companies, said SPO1 Raymund Supatan.<\/p>\n
Police seized personal computers and printers used in the business.<\/p>\n
Salas is a native of Bohol island while Avila is a resident of barangay Cogon-Pardo, Cebu City.<\/p>\n
Chief Insp. Romeo Santander, CIB chief, said the shop also made money producing fake school diplomas and transcripts of records (T.O.R) and not issuing receipts.<\/p>\n
The two workers did not identify the owner of the shop.<\/p>\n
Police said the two men will be facing charges for violation of Article 176 of the Revised Penal Code.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
