MANILA, Philippines \u2014 Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami)<\/a> maintained its strength as it approached the coastal waters of Isabela, the state weather bureau reported Wednesday evening.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In its 8 p.m. update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration\u2019s (Pagasa) said that Kristine\u2019s center was last monitored some 150 kilometers east of Echague, Isabela, moving northwest at 15 kilometers per hour (kph), and packing <\/span>maximum sustained winds of 95 kph and gusts of up to 115 kph.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pagasa added that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal number 3<\/a> is still up over 12 areas in Luzon.<\/span><\/p>\n
