MANILA, Philippines \u2014 The Philippine National Railways (PNR)<\/a> will resume trips to between Legazpi City and Naga City route on Sunday, March 16, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The resumption of service comes after a PNR inspection train was derailed after being hit by a tanker truck along Palayon Crossing in Nabua, Camarines Sur on Saturday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe PNR said its inspection train was clearing the tracks for obstruction to give way to the ensuing passenger train en route to Legazpi. The affected inspection train has already been rerailed,\u201d DOTr said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

It added that the driver of the truck was brought to hospital and is currently in stable condition. Meanwhile, the PNP train operator was not injured.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
