THE ENERGEN Pilipinas national youth team scored their second straight win after they defeated Kazakhstan, 83-69, in the FIBA Asia Under-18 Championships in UlaanBaatar, Mongolia yesterday.<\/p>\n\n
The win padded the Nationals record to 2-0 (win-loss) after winning their opening game, 95-52, over Saudi Arabia last Friday.<\/p>\n\n
In that game, the University of the Philippines\u2019 Kyle Suarez scored 15 to lead five Filipinos in double figures.<\/p>\n\n
Yesterday, Mario Bonleon tallied 20 points while J-Jay Alejandro added 18 for the Nationals, which seized the lead in the second canto before sealing the win with a solid performance in the fourth stanza where they outscored their opponents, 28-17.<\/p>\n\n
