Simon Lalong, the Plateau State Governor, has praised an official of the Nigeria Police Force, Mr Daniel Amah, for rejecting a $200,000 bribe.

Amah, who happen to be an indigene of Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State, joined the police as a Cadet Inspector in 2002, is currently serving as a Divisional Police Officer in Bompai Police Station, Nasarawa LGA of Kano State.

He was said to have rejected the sum of $200, 000 bribe in the course of investigating a robbery case which was reported to the police division in the state where he was the DPO, in a development which made the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC to honour him.

In a statement on Thursday, Governor Lalong commended the policeman for making the state proud describing his conduct as exemplary.

“He also urges other officers and Nigerians in all sectors to emulate the exemplary conduct of CSP Itse which is one of the tonic that Nigeria requires to be transformed”
