PNP has leads on Sultan Kudarat bombing suspects 鈥� Albayalde
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has leads on the identity of the suspect in the deadly bombing in Sultan Kudarat that killed three people and wounded 36 others, Police Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said on Thursday.
Albayalde told reporters in an interview that several witnesses have seen one of the suspects before the blast in Isulan on Tuesday night.
“Accordingly meron, pero hindi pa natin pwedeng ilabas kasi masyadong maaga pa. We’re still looking for other persons of interests,” he said when asked if there is now a sketch of one of the suspects.
The PNP chief said eyewitnesses have seen the suspect buying fruits around the area and putting a bag under a motorcycle owned by a member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU).
“But we don’t want to confirm anything yet because the investigation is still ongoing,” Albayalde said, adding that another suspect allegedly helped the suspected bomber flee the scene in a getaway motorcycle.
“Hopefully ma-identify natin through the carto kasi marami namang nakakita (Hopefully, we can identify the suspect through a cartographic sketch because many people have seen the suspect),” he said.
Albayalde also announced that 15 of the 36 wounded victims have been released from hospital, while the rest are now “out of danger.” /ee
