MANILA, Philippines – Peter Joemel Advincula, who claims to be “Bikoy” in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series, does not have links with Philippine National Police officials and personnel, PNP Spokesperson Col. Bernard Banac said Friday.

“Sa ngayon, nakumpirma natin na walang kaugnayan ang kooperatiba or anyone from the PNP na may transaksyon sa kanya [Advincula] dahil nung panahon na yun hindi naman natuloy yung kanilang transaksyon,” Banac said in a press conference at National Election Monitoring and Action Center in Camp Crame.

Banac made the statement after Sen. Panfilo Lacson asked the PNP to study the alleged links of Advincula to top officials of PNP in 2016.

Lacson earlier claimed that five to six ranking police officials were among the handlers of Advincula, who worked for them as an asset in 2016.

Banac explained that Advincula offered information about illegal drugs but police officials rejected it.

“Naunang impormasyon na nakuha natin, nagtangka si Advincula na magbenta ng impormasyon sa mga operatiba natin noong panahon na kasagsagan sa paglaban ng illegal na droga. Nag-offer ng storya [pero] ‘di naman ito pinaniwalaan ng operatiba,” Banac said.
