Maliban sa paglilikas ng mga residente, nasagip din ng mga volunteer mula sa Setba Fire Volunteer Brigade ang ilang aso sa Agoncillo, Batangas. Isa na rito ang asong-Pinoy o AsPin na si Taal. Ayon sa fire and rescue volunteer na si Ronald Ortiz, naabutan niya si Taal na ulo na lamang ang nakalitaw mula sa pagkakalubog sa abo.
