A woman was sentenced to 90 days in jail for attacking and spitting on three employees over a cookie that was missing from her drive-thru order.
Daja Trucker, 24, struck the workers at a restaurant in Ohio, USA, last April, as per Fox-affiliate WJW on Sept. 9.
Police also noted that Tucker was intoxicated when she fought the employees, The Smoking Gun reported. When she realized that the pastry was missing, she climbed through the local McDonalds鈥 drive-thru window and began hitting the three workers.
Following the attack, the three employees, who were described as 鈥渒ids,鈥 sustained minor injuries including scratch and bruises.
At her sentencing hearing on Sept. 9, municipal judge Timothy Gilligan called the incident 鈥渢ruly shocking.鈥
鈥淵ou spit on one employee during this聽pandemic. And what鈥檚 the reason for the attack?鈥 he asked Tucker. 鈥淵ou didn鈥檛 get your cookie?鈥
鈥淭hese are kids just trying to get through a night of work in the heat of the pandemic when everyone was scared to death for their lives,鈥 the judge said in the report.
Tucker also apologized for her actions during the hearing.
鈥淎gain I am greatly remorseful and I feel terrible how it has impacted their life and what that did to them,鈥 she said.
In a plea deal, Tucker was found guilty of attempted assault and criminal damage. Along with her sentence, she has also been ordered to complete an anger-management class and will be placed on probation after her sentence.
Tucker is set to begin serving her sentence soon at the Cuyahoga County Correction Center, as per report. Ryan Arcadio聽/ra
