Authorities then arrested the man for driving under the influence of alcohol. However, he stressed that he was not behind the wheel when the crash happened despite police finding him in the driver’s seat.

The policemen later realized that the teenager was driving the car when it collided into the other vehicle. After the collision, she simply exchanged seats with the man.

When police made her undergo a breath test, her results showed that she had a 0.26% blood alcohol level. According to the report, the legal limit in the area for driving is set at 0.08%. She also failed a portion of dexterity tests and could not distinguish right from left.

Meanwhile, the man did not agree to undergo the same test. This prompted authorities to obtain a search warrant and take a sample of his blood at a local hospital.

Police also spotted an open bottle of alcohol under one of the car’s front seats, as per report.
