TUGUEGARAO CITY –– This city has been placed on a less restrictive general community quarantine (GCQ) starting Feb. 4 until Feb. 10 to help revive the local economy, officials said on Thursday.

In a news briefing, Mayor Jefferson Soriano said the city remained a “high-risk” area for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) even after emerging from a 19-day enhanced community quarantine.

He said the Inter-Agency Task Force has allowed the city to relax its restrictions so businesses could open on limited capacities.

But while on a GCQ status, a liquor ban is still in effect, and the local government would continue to monitor violators of minimum health standards, Soriano said.
