10 more die of COVID-19 in Tarlac

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Two children, seven elderly residents, and another person were the latest COVID-19 fatalities in Tarlac province, the local government reported on Tuesday, June 15.

Those who died from the disease include a 1-year-old boy from Barangay Maruglu in Capas, and a 1-year-old girl from Barangay Bancu, Bamban.

COVID-19 also claimed the lives of seven persons aged 65 to 78. Six of them were from Camiling and another from Sapang Maragul in Tarlac City. The 10th fatality was a 41-year-old female resident of Anupul, Bamban.

As of June 15, at least 356 patients in Tarlac had died of COVID-19.

The province also reported on Tuesday 131 recoveries, bringing the number of persons who recovered from the disease to 6,391. Of its 7,708 total COVID-19 cases, 961 were active, including the 38 new ones reported on Tuesday.

Tarlac City has the most active cases at 436, followed by Gerona town at 77, and Capas at 72.

Tarlac City also has the most deaths at 126, followed by Concepcion town at 46, and Capas at 27.
