Olongapo City’s COVID-19 recovery rate steady at 86 percent

Elderly dies of COVID-19 in Olongapo; death toll now at 55

OLONGAPO CITY—Twenty one more patients here have recovered from COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing down to 205 the number of active cases in the city.

Citing local health data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said a total of 2,260 have so far recovered from the viral illness.

This reflected an 86.6-percent recovery rate out of the 2,609 total infections recorded since last year.

It was the same recovery rate that the city registered a week ago.

Paulino said the city logged only 11 new COVID-19 cases and a single fatality on Sunday.

He said the city’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 144.
