Over 670,000 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses arrive in PH
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 677,430 doses of the US-made Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the Philippines on Thursday night.
The aircraft carrying the government-procured vaccine doses landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at around 9:30 p.m.
A total of 92,430 doses will be flown to Davao City on Friday.
This is the third shipment of Pfizer vaccines this week, after the delivery of over 516,000 doses on Monday night and another 940,000 on Wednesday night.
Article continues after this advertisementThis shipment brings the total vaccine doses delivered to the Philippines at over 65 million, nearly 14 million of which have been delivered this month alone.
Article continues after this advertisementSo far, more than 19 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against the severe respiratory illness.
Meanwhile, 23.1 million individuals have received the first of two doses. A total of 42.1 million vaccine doses have so far been administered nationwide.
